What Is Probate and When Is it Required?

The Role of the Executor

Inventorying and Appraising Estate Assets

Notifying Creditors and Paying Debts

The executor is responsible for notifying a person's creditors, which is usually done by publishing notice of the death in a local newspaper. Creditors will have a certain amount of time to file claims against the estate. The executor will review all claims and determine whether they are valid. Filing Tax Returns
