Michael Robinson Presents at Virginia CLE’s 17th Annual DUI and Serious Traffic Seminar
Attorney Michael Robinson of Robinson Law, PLLC recently participated as a faculty member and presenter at Virginia CLE’s 17th Annual Handling DUI and Serious Traffic Cases in Virginia 2026, held on Friday, October 2, 2026.
During the program, Robinson presented alongside Hon. Susan Friedlander Earman of the Fairfax County General District Court. Together, they addressed important 2026 legislative developments and case law changes affecting DUI and serious traffic cases in Virginia.
The full-day seminar brought together attorneys and judges from throughout the Commonwealth for an in-depth discussion of issues that regularly arise in DUI and serious traffic defense. The program was available both live and through remote attendance options and offered 6.0 hours of live MCLE credit, including 1.0 hour of ethics credit, as well as 6.0 hours of VIDC misdemeanor/felony recertification credit.
Topics discussed throughout the seminar included current DUI defense practices, procedural differences across Virginia, field sobriety and impairment testing protocols, disclosure obligations involving potentially exculpatory evidence, constitutional issues involving traffic stops, arrests, and searches, and recent developments in Virginia law.
Robinson joined a faculty of judges and experienced Virginia attorneys, including Judge Earman, Hon. Peter Eliades, Hon. William Fitzpatrick, Hon. Michael Joseph Holleran, Hon. Jacqueline F. Ward Talevi, and other practitioners with experience handling DUI and serious traffic matters.
Having participated in the program previously, Robinson was pleased to once again contribute to the continuing legal education of attorneys practicing throughout Virginia. His presentation provided attendees with practical insight into recent legal developments and issues that may affect the handling of DUI and serious traffic cases.
Robinson Law, PLLC appreciates Virginia CLE, the fellow presenters, and the attorneys who attended this year’s program. Events such as this provide an important opportunity for members of Virginia’s legal community to exchange knowledge, review changes in the law, and stay informed about developments affecting their clients and practices.
Robinson looks forward to continuing to participate in educational programs and professional events that support attorneys handling DUI and serious traffic cases throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
